From uncertainty to a clear next step.
Bring the assignment brief, exam objective or research problem. Leave with a stronger understanding of what the task requires and how to approach it independently.
UKNurses supports nursing students and registered nurses through every stage of the journey: clinical training, professional registration and PhD research. We walk with you through exam registrations, course hurdles and thesis research, wherever in the world your placement happens to be.
UKNurses is a nursing academic support platform that grew from a student study group at Edinburgh Napier University into a global tutoring and exam-coaching service for nursing students across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Africa and Asia.
In 2019, three of us, then third-year coursemates at Edinburgh Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland, agreed to form a study group. We talked about everything: university life, our ambitions and, most usefully, our assignments, research and coursework.
The group grew. Classmates joined, then students from other courses. As numbers grew, so did the risk of losing what made it work, so we wrote a community charter. Then Covid-19 hit.
During lockdown, we formalised what we had built. We launched The Family Community, with its own website, Facebook page and WhatsApp group. Throughout the pandemic, The Family became what we all needed: we met regularly online, studied together and stayed connected.
The Family kept its core purpose: keeping us close beyond the classroom. Its academic wing, the part of the group that met purely for academic support, went on to join PI Consulting, an organisation known for curating learning materials. That academic wing became UKNurses.net.
UKNurses.net was formally established in 2021 as an academic consultancy for NMC-registered carers, using social media to share notes, run discussions and guide new nurses, particularly international nurses navigating nursing life in the UK for the first time.
By 2023, that informal knowledge-sharing had become formal tutoring, research and course support. We recruited our first licensed tutors, academic success teams, research consultants and professors, and opened UKNurses roles to trainers, career coaches and researchers beyond The Family. Every team member is selected on career background, qualifications and licensure.
In 2024, UKNurses.net formed a coalition with PI Consulting, a Kentucky-based learning designer, becoming a full nursing academic support service with its own teams, materials and management. Since then, our students and staff have grown across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Africa and Asia, with new programmes rolling out to meet every stage of nursing training.
UKNurses remains committed to student-centred academic support, guided by honesty, integrity and a learners-first approach. The future of healthcare is shaped by those who care for others, and our role is to empower them.
Mikkel, President, UKNurses
“We’ve built a platform that connects nurses everywhere with support that understands the realities of clinical training. I’ll be with you at every stage of your nursing journey.”

Universities, NHS trusts and placement providers partner with UKNurses to extend academic and pastoral support beyond timetabled hours, without adding to faculty workload. Every expert is a registered, background-checked nurse educator, and every engagement is reported back to your institution on the terms you set.
Talk to our partnerships team about a pilot cohort, reporting requirements or existing placement-support arrangements.
A global review found that close to half of nursing students show signs of burnout before they qualify, mostly because of the heavy clinical and academic workload.1 Most academic support platforms are built around a standard undergraduate timetable. UKNurses is built around a placement rota, wherever in the world that placement happens to be.
The strongest academic support does more than answer a question. It reveals the reasoning, structure and evidence behind a strong response, then helps you practise the method until it becomes your own.
Bring the assignment brief, exam objective or research problem. Leave with a stronger understanding of what the task requires and how to approach it independently.
Tell us your module, goal and deadline. Our team will recommend the right nursing educator for the work ahead.
A platform built step by step, the way nursing itself is learned: through lived experience.
Every expert submits their degree certificate, nursing qualification and workplace information before joining, and is screened by third-party HR professionals.
