As a former NHS nurse with over 30 years' experience, and now an adjunct professor, I understand both the challenges and the purpose that define this profession.
I have had the privilege of working alongside nurses in Kerala, Cebu, South Africa, Victoria-Australia, Scotland, Quebec, Cuba, Tobago, and now Nebraska. Across different countries, cultures, and healthcare systems, one truth holds: nursing demands the same discipline, the same resilience, and the same devotion to others, wherever it is practised.
